One of my favourite go-to accessories for refreshing a home or office, is the humble cowhide. Silky smooth and virtually maintenance free, cowhides add layers of fuss-free warmth and texture to any space, suiting almost every interior style from modern and luxe to vintage and boho.
Our Premium range of ethically sourced hides from Brazil come in a huge range of colours and sizes. But how to choose the right one for you?
KNOW YOUR LOOK
First trying to think about what you are trying to achieve. Is it bright and white, is it Eclectic Boho, are you want to just add some layers and warmth and not really sure? Well read on for some ideas!
THE ART OF WHITE
If you know anything about me its that I love white and all the shades of white. I especially love white with a little white on the side, underneath and on top. Then add a white lounge and a white throw and white walls and I'm in my happy place!
My floor is dark so I have added a Champagne hide underneath my white table and beside my white sofa for a warmer shade of white. I have a white daybed on the side. Suddenly the space is open, crisp and fresh.
The rare and harder to get natural solid white is a more crisp and cooler option, more refined and super luxe.
MONOCHROME
From the crisp monotone whites to greys and blacks to suit your modern home and the salt and pepper Longhorn for more rugged charm. Black adds a nice texture layer on dark floor or a contrast on bright white. See our Interiors project below for some inspiration.
TAN LINES
Tan works beautifully with timbers and white for a soft warmth.
LAYER AWAY
Cowhide rugs are perfect for layering with other rugs. Take advantage of the natural organic shape and overlap the tips with your existing kilim, Persian or Sheepskin rug to get an effortlessly luxurious yet casual look!
Our Premium cowhides are ethically sourced from Brazil, each cowhide rug has its own unique charm. Our hides are soft and silky, literally handpicked for quality, colouring and style. The best part? Cowhide rugs are virtually maintenance free. I've been known on occasion to spill red wine on my white cowhide and it's good as new with a simple sponge off. That said, don't try this at home, not intentionally anyway!
